EMERGCON - EMERGCON EMERGCON (Emergenecy Condition) is a state of readiness that is separate fron DEFCON, or defense readiness condition. Generally, EMERGCONs are a state of readiness following an ICBM (intercontinental ballistic missile) attack. Other forces go to DEFCON 1 during EMERGCONs.
