Jackie DeShannon - Jackie DeShannon Jackie DeShannon, real name Sharon Lee Myers, (born August 21, 1944) is an American singer songwriter with a string of hit song credits from the 1960s onwards. She is one of the first female singer songwriters of the rock 'n' roll period. Sharon Myers adopted the name Jackie DeShannon, believed to be an Irish ancestor. Record company executives at Liberty Records thought the name Sharon Myers wouldn't sell records. Jackie DeShannon was born in Hazel, Kentucky. P.J. Proby - he takes acting and singing lessons and appears in movies with small roles. Two singles "Go Gril Go" and "Loud Perfume" are released on an independent label but are not noticed. In 1962 he begins songwriting and recording demos, when he is spotted by the label Liberty Records. By then dropping Jett Powers in favour of using the name P. J. Proby, Good's deliberately created an overtly sexual image for Proby.
