Jerry Cornelius - Jerry Cornelius One of Michael Moorcock's most popular fictional creations was Jerry Cornelius, a kind of hip secret agent of ambiguous sexuality; the same characters featured in each of several Cornelius books, but the individual books had little connection with one another, as a variation of the Multiverse theme. The first Jerry Cornelius book, The Final Programme was made into a feature film starring Jon Finch and Jenny Runacre. Moorcock encouraged other authors to write stories about Jerry Cornelius. (to do: give examples) Moorcock hints in many places that Cornelius may be an aspect of the Eternal Champion. Characters from the Cornelius novels show up in much of Moorcock's other fiction: for example, Moorcock's Dancers at the End of Time series has a character called Jherek.

Eternal Champion - Balance - but he often doesn't know of his rôle, or, even worse, he struggles against it, never to succeed. All the incarnations of the Eternal Champion are facets of each other. Some of the incarnations of the Eternal Champion include: Ereköse, aka John Daker, the one aspect of the Champion who remembers his previous lives. Ulric von Bek and some of his descendants. Elric of Melniboné Corum Jhaelen Irsei Dorian Hawkmoon Jherek Carnelian Jerry Cornelius and many others....

Commedia dell'arte - dell'arte, with its stock situations and characters and improvised dialogue, has shown the way to many other forms of drama, from pantomime and Punch and Judy - which features debased forms of the commedia characters (see below) - to the modern animated cartoon, situation comedy, and even professional wrestling. The characters and tropes of the Commedia have also been used in modern novels, from sword and sorcery to literary works, notably by Michael Moorcock in his Jerry Cornelius stories that culminate with the Guardian prize-winning The Condition of Muzak. Commedia dell'arte in its turn was influenced by the tradition of Roman comedy. Male commedia dell'arte characters were depicted by actors wearing masks representing regions or towns. The female characters, however, were usually not masked. In fact, the roles were often played.

The Adventures of Luther Arkwright - as nine standard comic books by Valkyrie Press, and was subsequently published in the United States by Dark Horse Comics. The story is adult in tone, with many mythological, historical and political references, and a little explicit sex. Its genesis owes something to the influence of Michael Moorcock's Jerry Cornelius stories, though Moorcock and Talbot agree that the similarities between the characters are limited. In 1999 Dark Horse published Talbot's sequel to Luther Arkwright, which was called Heart of Empire. Warning: Wikipedia contains spoilers Luther Arkwright is a work of apocalyptic science fiction set in parallel universes. The eponymous hero has the unique talent of being able to move between parallels purely by force of will, and is aided by Rose Wylde, a telepath whose many incarnations across the parallels are.

From 1950 to 1954 Phillips recorded.

Michael Moorcock - cosmogony is called the "Multiverse" within his novels. The "Eternal Champion" is engaged in a constant struggle with not only conventional notions of good and evil, but also in the struggle for balance between order and chaos. Moorcock's most popular works by far have been the Elric novels, starring the character Elric of Melnibone. Moorcock wrote the first Elric stories as a deliberate reversal of the cliches common in Tolkien-inspired fantasy adventure novels (which he despised). The popularity of Elric has overshadowed his many other works, though he has worked a number of the themes of the Elric stories into his other works (the "Hawkmoon" and "Corum" novels, for example). One of Moorcock's popular creations was Jerry Cornelius (another JC), a kind of hip secret agent of ambiguous sexuality; the same.
