Foreign relations of France - in the region, especially Nasser's Egypt. The Arab states would almost always prefer the cheaper goods from an anti-Arab nation than more expensive ones from a pro-Arab state such as France, however. France was not as successful economically as Britain, Germany, or the United States and no amount of positive relations with the Arab world could overcome the greater costs of French goods. Throughout the subsequent decades France continued to have very large trade deficits with the oil exporting countries of the Middle East. Not only did trade not benefit much, France's positive relations with the Muslim world also has failed to protect it from Islamic terrorism, rather the opposite is true. France is one of the West's most frequent targets of Islamic terrorism. Throughout the period since de Gaulle left.

USS Albacore (AGSS-569) - of submarine in which surface performance characteristics would be completely subordinated to high submerged speed and agility. In 1949 a special committee began a series of hydrodynamic studies which led to a program within the Bureau of Ships to determine what hull form would be best for submerged operation. This ship was classified as an auxiliary submarine (AGSS-569) and named Albacore. The submarine departed Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on 12 October 1955 and.
Canadian federal election, 2004 - Conservatives and Canadian Alliance. This fear has prompted those two parties to form a united Conservative Party of Canada, which was approved by the Canadian Alliance on December 5, 2003 and by the Progressive Conservatives on December 6, 2003. Prior to the announcement of the union of the right-of-centre parties, many were predicting an NDP official opposition. A new leader, clear social democratic policies, and the possible collapse of the other opposition parties may allow the NDP to make breakthroughs in all the regions of the country. While many predicted that the election of the strongly federalist Quebec Liberal Party under Jean Charest would give the Bloc Québécois (BQ) new purpose and assure it a place in the next parliament, the party continues to sink in the polls. The continued decline.
