Keiko (orca) - Keiko (orca) Keiko (circa 1976 - December 12, 2003) was an orca which performed in the first of three Free Willy movies. He had been captured near Iceland in 1979 and sold to an Icelandic aquarium. Three years later, he was sold to Marineland in Ontario, where he first started performing for the public and developing skin lesions indicative of poor health. He was then sold to Reino Aventura, an amusement park in Mexico City, in 1985. The publicity from his role in Free Willy led to an effort by Warner Brothers Studio and schoolchildren around the world to find him a better home. Donations from the studio and Craig McCaw led to the establishment of the Free Willy Keiko Foundation in February 1995. With donations.

Kira Nerys - believe to be a spiritual emissary from the Bajoran Prophets. Major Kira had a relationship with Vedek Bareil Antos until his death in a shuttle accident. She later had a brief romantic liaison with her former cell commander, later first minister of Bajor, Shakaar Edon. During this time, she also agreed to gestate the baby of Miles and Keiko O'Brien, when Keiko was wounded and nearly miscarried during an away mission. She gave birth to their son Kirayoshi in 2373. After she and Shakaar broke up, she started a relationship with with Odo during the Dominion War She was promoted to Colonel in 2374 during Captain Sisko's personal leave. In that year she proved instrumental in ending the Dominion War, and later took command of DS9 after the disappearance of Sisko.

Generations later in the reign of the 12th emperor, Keiko, the sword was given to the great warrior, Yamato-Dake as part of a pair of gifts given by his aunt, Yamato-Hime, to protect his nephew in peril.
