Kut - Kut Kut (also known as Kut-Al-Imara and Kut El Amara) is a city in eastern Iraq, on the left bank of the Tigris River, about 100 miles south east of Baghdad, at 32.50°N, 45.82°E. In 2003 the estimated population is about 400,000 people. It is the capital of the province long known as Al Kut, but since the 1960s renamed Wasit. The old town of Kut is within a sharp "U" bend of the river, almost making it an island but for a narrow connection to the shore. For centuries Kut was a regional center of the carpet trade. The area around Kut is a fertile cereal grain growing region. The Baghdad Nuclear Research Facility, looted following the 2003 invasion of Iraq, is located near Kut..
Siege of Kut - Siege of Kut The Siege of Kut-al-Amara (December 7 1915 - April 29, 1916) was part of the Mesopotamian campaign in World War I. The British Mesopotamian Expeditionary Force (MEF) suffered a very serious defeat against the Ottoman forces. Kut-al-Amara is a town on the Tigris, where it meets the ancient Shatt al-Hai canal. It is 800 km upstream from Basra and around 200 km from Amara. In 1915 its population was around 6,500. The 6th (Poona) Division of the British Indian Army, under Major-General Charles Townshend, had fallen back to the strategic town of Kut after the failure to capture Ctesiphon, arriving there around December 3, 1915. The division had lost around a third of its men at Ctesiphon and only around 11,000 soldiers plus cavalry.
Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika - Uganda, Tanganyika Kenya, Uganda, Tanganyika (KUT) is the awkward name used for the postage stamps issued by the East African Posts and Telecommunications Administration between 1935 and 1961 for use in the colonies of Kenya, Uganda, and Tanganyika. Philatelists usually class the 1921-1927 issues of the East Africa and Uganda Protectorates and Kenya and Uganda under the KUT rubric, but the first issues spelling out all the names of the colonies came in 1935, in the form of common design commemoratives for the Silver Jubilee of King George V as well as a definitive series featuring a profile of the king and local scenes. The definitives included a dramatic departure form the usual engraved stamps of the period; the 10c and 1lb stamp were typographed and had a silhouette of a.

Issues - static fading out at the end of the album. (Although rumour has it the band removed the hidden track at the last moment). The album was considered a disappointment by many of the band's fans, as it featured fewer nu metal songs, and incorporated vocalist Jonathan Davis' Duran Duran influences. Vostok 2 - 7, 1961 07:18 UTC 51° N, 46° E, near Krasny Kut Duration: 1 day, 1 hour, 18 minutes Number of Orbits: 17.5 Vostok 2 was a Soviet space mission which carried cosmonaut Gherman Titov into orbit for a full day in order to study the effects of a more prolonged period of weightlessness on the human body. Unlike Yuri Gagarin on Vostok 1 Titov took manual control of the spacecraft for a short while. The flight was an almost complete success, marred only by a bout of space sickness, a malfunctioning heater that allowed the inside temperature to drop to 6.1°C (43°F), and a troublesome re-entry when the re-entry module failed to separate cleanly from its service module. The re-entry capsule was unfortunately destroyed during development of the Voskhod spacecraft. As.
Four-letter word - All of these words are considered vulgar or offensive. See profanity. A similar tradition occurs in Dutch although it's using only three letters and are in fact three-letter-words: (kut, pik, lul, gvd) Another interesting meaning of four-letter word (in Greek, tetragrammaton) is "the name of God", that is, יהוה (commonly transliterated as "YHVH"), which was supposed never to be spoken aloud, now known as Yahweh or Jehovah. Quotation Good authors too who once knew better words Now only use four-letter words Writing prose. Anything goes. — Cole Porter, "Anything Goes".
Frederick Stanley Maude - he was promoted to Brigadier-General and given command of the 14th Brigade. He was wounded in April 1915 and returned home to recover. He returned to France in May and in June he was promoted to Major-General and transferred to command 33rd Division, then still in training. However in mid-August he was instead given charge of 13th Division, then in Suvla. The 13th suffered heavy casualties retreating from Suvla and landing and later evacuating from Helles before being shifted to Mesopotamia in March 1916. They arrived to catch the end of the British failure at the Siege of Kut and Maude was promoted to Lieutenant-General and replaced George Gorringe as commander of the newly dubbed Tigris Corps (3rd Army Corps) in July 1916. Despite being instructed to do no more than.
Baghdad Nuclear Research Facility - The Baghdad Nuclear Research Facility near Kut, Iraq, contains the remains of reactors bombed by Israel in 1981 and the United States in 1991. It was used as a storage facility for spent reactor fuel and industrial and medical wastes. The radioactive material would not be useful for a fission bomb, but could be used in a dirty bomb. Following the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the facility was heavily looted by hundreds of Iraqis, though it is unclear what was taken. The facility is surrounded by a sand berm four miles around and 160 feet high, and contained the French-built research reactor Osirak, destroyed by Israel in 1981 before it went online. On May 3, 2003, a detachment of U.S. Special Forces led by Navy Cmdr. David Beckett and eight nuclear.

Mesopotamian Half Flight - half-flight was reinforced with two Caudron G3 aircraft, which were still not up-to-date, but generally preferred to the Farmans. Later, on 30th July, one of the Caudrons was forced to land in enemy territory due to mechanical problems. It was later reported that the crew were killed by local hostile Arabs after a running gun-battle over several miles. This was Australia's first air-casualty of the war. On 24th August, the British reinforced the half-flight with additional men and four additional aircraft (Martinsyde S1s) to form a full squadron (renamed 30th Squadron RFC). Further aircraft (three Maurice Farman sea-planes) were added to the squadron in September. Because the Tigris river was too shallow for the sea-planes to use at that time of year, the sea-planes were converted into Shorthorns. The Indian army.
