Donny the Punk - Donny the Punk Donny the Punk is a nickname for Stephen Donaldson, founder of Stop Prisoner Rape, Inc. He is not to be confused with Stephen Donaldson, the author of fantasy novels. Stephen Donaldson was born in the US, just in time to make him at the right age to be able to protest against the Vietnam War. And so he did, in a Quaker peace rally, until the peaceful demonstrators were arrested by the police. Most got out on $10 bail, but Donny refused to pay out of principle. He was moved into a jail wing full of hardened criminals on orders from the warden. That night he was anally and orally raped dozens of times. He had injuries to his rectum so severe that he.
Kermit the Frog - leading lady Miss Piggy. He is close friends with Fozzie Bear and has a nephew, Robin. He continued to make appearances long after The Muppet Show had been cancelled in 1981. In 1996, he gave a commencement speech at Southampton College in which he came out as an environmentalist. In 2001 he appeared in the TV show Hollywood Squares. Such was his popularity across the pond that in 2000 he hosted the "1976" episode of the BBC's nostalgia series I Love 1970s (amongst other things, he recalled the phenomenon of punk rock and, naturally, The Muppet Show) and even joined fellow American Ruby Wax for a couple of between-band links at the Queen's Golden Jubilee concert in 2002. Kelly Osbourne - of a crop of young performers in the early 2000s who have revitalized the soft-core punk scene. Their combination of pseudo-punk outfits with an anti-authoritarian attitude (similar to Cyndi Lauper's persona in the 1980s) seems to reflect a movement out of the popularity of strictly pop music into an interest in rock and roll. Osbourne first rose to acclaim in the reality TV series about her famous family. Her debut album was released in 2002 to moderate sales, fueled mostly by a cover version of the hit Madonna song "Papa Don't Preach." Critics mostly dismiss her as the flash-in-the-pan daughter of a superstar with no discernible talent whose popularity is fueled entirely by personality rather than legitimate talent. Osbourne was born in London, England. Solo Albums Shut Up (2002) External Link.
Vegan Reich - Vegan Reich were a 1980s American punk band formed by Sean Muttaqi, embracing something similar to a straight edge philosophy (they did not drink/do drugs), but taking it to a more extreme conclusion, ie, advocating the developement of a vegan society, where people that violate the laws of that society could possibly face 'extermination'. Followers of the band where sometimes also involved in the deep ecology movement called Hardline, expressing a rhetoric that seemed to be a strange hybrid of both anarchism and extreme authoritarianism (if you violated someones rights, you could be subject to losing your own). None of their record releases ever dented the Billboard Top 50, and for the time being omnivores the world over continue to sleep safe in their beds at night. See also: hardcore punk.
Kevin Rowland - Rowland's first group, Lucy & The Lovers were influenced by Roxy Music and turned out to be short-lived. His next project, Punk Rock act The Killjoys were slightly more successful, releasing the single "Johnny Won't Go To Heaven" in 1977 but alienated by the Punk scene, Rowland, together with Killjoys guitarist Al Archer decided to form a new Soul-influenced group, Dexy's Midnight Runners. When Dexy's disbanded in 1987, Rowland recorded a solo album called The Wanderer which, together with its three singles, was a commercial failure. His next release was not until 1999 when he recorded a collection of cover versions called My Beauty. Despite critical acclaim, the album again failed to sell and Rowland withdrew once more from the spotlight of the music industry. Discography (Singles): Walk Away / Even.

Kitsch - downplayed the formal structure of the artwork in favor of elements which enter it by relating to other spheres of life. Despite this, many in the art world continue to have an adherence to some sense of the dichotomy between art and kitsch, excluding all sentimental and realistic art from being considered seriously. This has come under attack by critics who argue for a reappreciation of Academic art and traditional figurative painting, without the concern for it appearing "innovative" or "new". A different tactic is taken by the Norwegian artist Odd Nerdrum, who composed a manifesto entitled On Kitsch, where he makes a political point of declaring himself a Kitsch painter rather than an artist, even though very few critics would actually think of his artwork as kitsch. Nerdrum has claimed.
