Bacau, Romania

Bacău is the name of a city and county (Bacău county) in Romania.The city is situated among the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains, and on the Bistritza River, which enters the Sereth River about 8 kilometres (5 miles) to the south.The Ghimesh Pass links Bacău to Transylvania.
