BearShare

BearShare is a popular Gnutella client software package from a company called Free Peers, Inc.; the software allows its users to share files directly from person to person. BearShare utilizes a decentralized peer to peer network. BearShare runs under Microsoft Windows and comes in several versions, including a free advertising supported version, an advertising free beta version, and a paid pro version with no advertisements.

Vincent Falco, leading developer of BearShare and owner of Free Peers, Inc. is a very valuable member of the GDF for all the useful ideas he and his team added to the Gnutella protocol.
