Cal

cal is a standard progam on Unix that prints an ASCII calendar of the current month or year.

Example

~$ cal

Cal\' (short for California') is also the nickname for the University of California, Berkeley, dating from the days when it was the only University of California campus (1868-1927), prior to the creation of UCLA. It is still frequently used for the U.C. Berkeley sports teams.
