Elah

King Elah was a son of Baasha, who succeeded him as king of Israel. Albright has dated his reign to 677 - 876 BC, while Thiele offers the dates 886 - 885 BC.

In the Books of Kings (1 Kings, chapter 16) relates how Elah was murdered by his chariot commander, who became his successor, King Zimri.
