Phoenician language

Phoenician also known as Punic was a Northeast Afroasiatic language closely related to Arabic & Canaanite from which descended modern Maltese & Lebanese. The Phoenicians left no written records and all that can be gathered about Punic is pieced together from various inscriptions they left.
