  • In music, a sampler is an electronic musical instrument that uses stored audio signal sampless, generally recordings of existing sounds, and plays them back at a range of pitches.
  • In needlework, a sampler is a handstitched piece of embroidery used to demonstrate skill in needlework and mastery of a range of stitches.
    • In a similar line, a Sampler Quilt is one where each quilt block is constructed using a different pattern.
    • Pressed flower craft shows a sampler made using real flowers and petals.
