Samuel Colt

Samuel Colt (July 19, 1814 - January 20, 1862), born in Hartford, Connecticut, was the inventor of the Colt revolver which was famously used in the western territories of 19th century United States.

Colt received a patent for his revolver on February 24, 1836 and made the first production model on March 5 of the same year.
